WIMP
Weakly interacting massive particle, a hypothetical massive particle that barely interacts with ordinary matter. One of the leading dark matter candidates. The LUX-ZEPLIN detector, 10 tonnes of liquid xenon 1.5 km underground, is designed to detect it via rare collisions with xenon atoms.
