Data controller
The data controller for personal data collected on this website is OHLEE-1, SASU with a share capital of €1,000, headquartered at 27 rue des Laitières, 94300 Vincennes, France (SIRET: 104 385 430 00012). For any data protection question, use the contact form integrated into the TRACKER-1 assistant, specifying "GDPR" in the subject.
1. Geolocation
TRACKER-1 may use your browser's GPS position for the following features: sky map, light pollution map, observing guide, coordinate display and local weather. This position is requested solely in your browser (navigator.geolocation API) after your explicit consent. No position is transmitted or stored on our servers — processing is 100% local. If declined, the site works with a Paris fallback.
2. Contact form
The contact form integrated into the assistant collects: your name, your email address, the message category, the subject and the message. This data is provided voluntarily and is necessary to process your request. It is sent by email via the Resend service to the OHLEE-1 editorial team and is not stored in a database. The email is used solely to reply to you.
3. Cookies and audience analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (ID: G-F2EGQB1FCS) solely for audience measurement purposes, not for advertising or commercial profiling. This service deposits cookies to produce anonymized traffic statistics. In line with the CNIL recommendation, these audience-measurement cookies — strictly necessary to provide the requested service — are exempt from prior consent insofar as they only produce anonymous statistics. You may nonetheless object to this processing via your browser settings.
4. Automatically transmitted technical data
Like any website, certain technical data (IP address, browser type, timestamp) is temporarily processed by our hosting provider (Netlify) and our third-party services (Resend, Upstash Redis for rate-limiting). The IP address is used solely for security (contact form rate-limiting) and is not retained beyond the necessary duration.
Purposes and legal basis
Location processing relies on your consent (Art. 6 §1 a GDPR). Contact form data is processed solely to respond to your requests and, where applicable, to establish a commercial relationship; the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 §1 a) and/or the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures (Art. 6 §1 b). Audience analytics relies on the CNIL's consent exemption for strictly anonymous audience-measurement cookies.
Retention period
Geolocation consent: stored in your browser (localStorage) until you clear it. Contact form data: retained for a maximum of 3 years from the last exchange, unless you request otherwise or a legal/accounting retention obligation applies. Rate-limiting logs: maximum 1 hour. Google Analytics data: per Google's configuration (maximum 13 months).
Your rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés), you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data. To exercise these rights, use the TRACKER-1 assistant contact form, specifying "GDPR request" in the subject. You may also file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Recipients and sub-processors
Data is intended exclusively for OHLEE-1 and its technical providers acting on its behalf and bound by confidentiality obligations: Netlify (hosting, US/EU), Resend (email sending, US), Google Analytics (analytics, US), Upstash (Redis rate-limiting, EU/US). Data is never sold, rented or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
Transfers outside the EU
Website hosting (Netlify) and the Google Analytics service may involve data processing in the United States. These transfers are governed by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and the appropriate safeguards provided by the GDPR.
Cookies & trackers
TRACKER-1 deposits Google Analytics trackers exempt from consent (anonymous audience measurement, CNIL recommendation). Geolocation consent is stored in your browser's localStorage, not as a cookie. You may object to trackers at any time via your browser settings.
Contact
For any question about this policy or your data, use the TRACKER-1 assistant contact form, specifying "GDPR". No dedicated email address is set up; the form remains the sole channel.
